Play Ball for Kids is a partnership of Urban Impact Foundation with corporations and Steelers players. Through this partnership, funds are raised for Urban Impact programs via player contributions, special events, and sponsorships. Started in the spring of 2003 by Pastor Ed Glover, Founding President of Urban Impact Foundation, the vision for "Play Ball for Kids" has expanded rapidly. This vision has captured the interest of a number of Pittsburgh Steelers players who have a desire to leave a legacy and give something back to the community.

Currently, there are 24 Pittsburgh Steelers who "Play Ball for Kids." These players include:

Players partner with Urban Impact by donating game tickets for corporate and family sponsors and by autographing footballs that are utilized as incentives for sponsors and as silent auction items at special fundraising events. Players also attend the Annual Appreciation Dinner in the fall and interact with our sponsors.
